Today we made cute safari animal cups out of foam stickers, shapes and wiggle eyes. The idea to do this particular craft was inspired by watching The Lion King. My daughter needed help only with putting the cup part together. She was able to glue on the legs and stick on the different facial features for each animal - giraffe, zebra and lion. For the lion she really got creative with the pink part in the mane and creating a 3D mane out of the cylinders used for the legs. They came out great!

Rose Art - Shrink a Doodle
Another day, another new craft to try out. This time Shrink a Doodle by Rose Art. You color in a picture of something then bake it the oven or toaster oven for 1-5 minutes. My daughter wanted my husband to color the pictures she picked out, but she sat and watched him. They came out well and there are plenty designs left in the box for her to make.

My Little Pony Sticker Mosaic
Here is a cute My Little Pony sticker mosaic kit found at Target. Using the number key, my daughter matched the stickers to where they should be placed on the board. She needed help with a few of the harder to place shapes but completed most of it by herself.

Creative Hands Monster Puppets
Creative Hands Monster Puppets
For this activity, contents included foam shapes, glitter stickers, foam stickers and googly eyes. Everything sticks together and my daughter finished both monsters in no time by just looking at the pictures on the package. Fast and easy!
Crochet Coasters
Crochet Coasters
I completed a new crochet project - coasters for my brother-in-law and future sister-in-law's wedding gift (along with a store bought gift). These coasters were very quick and easy to make. I found the pattern at the following link - Super Simple Crocheted Coasters. I like you can customize the colors any way you want. First you make the base, then top stitch the secondary color using your crochet hook. These coasters will make great housewarming gifts!

Creatology Foam Activity Kit - Nature Rings
Creatology Foam Activity Kit - Nature Rings
For this particular foam activity craft, my daughter took inspiration from the pictures and got creative. I let her just do her thing and she came out with some cute creations! Sometimes I sit with her and we do the craft exactly how it looks. Other times I like to see what she comes up with on her own. She's getting good doing these crafts without help!

Mosaics by Numbers - Sparking Unicorns
Mosaics by Numbers - Sparkling Unicorns
I found more Mosaics by Numbers to do. This box had four different unicorn pictures. Here is the picture she chose to complete today. She actually did every square and circle sticker all by herself! She said these circles were stickier and I think with all the practice she is very good at this craft.

Two Creatology Projects - Color-In Stable and Foam Doorhanger
Two Creatology Projects - Color-In Stable and Foam Doorhanger
I recently found more projects to do in the clearance section of Michael's. First my daughter colored the color-in stable. There's a lot to color and she worked on it two days in a row. When she felt it was sufficiently colored, I put it together for her. She has play horses and little Disney princesses she loves to play with and promptly place both in the stable. As for the door hanger, that was a quick, easy project for her to do. I helped her spell out "woof" but the rest of the stickers she was able to place on the door hanger herself.
